How do you know when it's time to quit sewing for the evening?
a) When it's 10:40 p.m., and you told yourself you would knock off at 10:30?
No.
b) When your bobbin runs out right about that time?
Nope, minor inconvenience.
c) When you sew through your finger?
Works for me.
I think the thing to ask yourself is "I am bleeding uncontrollably onto my project? "
ReplyDeleteIf the answer is no then you're good to keep going...
I hope your war wound heals soon and doesnt cause too much discomfort meantime. Ouchies.
OUCH! Might be time to quit all right. Did Jane bite you?
ReplyDeletePut a Band-Aid on it and keep going. Or just run it through a few times--your own fancy stitches. :) Sorry. Maybe that was uncalled for.
ReplyDeleteI quit when I can't keep my eyes open or the machine's quirkiness drives me crazy to the point where I'm about ready to throw it through the window.
Did you do that with your sewing machine? Ouch.... I've done it myself, although a long long time ago, and it's not fun!
ReplyDeleteOuch! Yes, that would just about do it for me. My husband would wrap it in electrical tape and keep going.
ReplyDeleteYikes! I admit that is one of my fears that has kept me from learning to use a sewing machine. Poor baby.
ReplyDeleteOuch! I've never done that before. How did you manage it? Hope it's not bothering you too much.

I must have been on the same wavelength. I had the same thing happen to me last week! I've got it through the nail before! Don't ask me about the rotary cutters!
