Did I ever mention that the name of this blog was, at least in my own mind, a play on the words the way I SEE it? (Also SEW, of course, which happens now and again.)
Case in point re the way I see it:
My little flower bed in winter has two dried up lily branches on one end. But to me, they could be—dunh-dunh-dunh—two skeletal arms reaching out of the frozen ground!
Do you see them? The frazzled arms and gnarly finger bones stretching toward the sky?
Here, maybe this will help:
Reaching for what, though? Certainly not the warmth of the sun. It's undoubtedly cozier under the snow blanket than the air temperature of minus whatever it is.
Oh, I bet I know...

LOL! I totally see it!!! (I have cabin fever too!)
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Gosh. That is too funny! I love it. It is good to be silly now and then.

Ha-ha! What an imagination! (Maybe too much coffee?)
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking your skeletal friend isn't laying down....he/she is standing UP, with hands in the air surrendering to winter! And when is "snorting laughter" ever inappropriate? Baby...that's the way I laugh all the time...just hopefully not while drinking my tea!!
ReplyDeleteSilliness is absolutely a coping mechanism .... Winter weather DOES cause it!!!
ReplyDeleteHe needs some big mittens. Maybe.
ReplyDelete:)
Very original! And funny too!
ReplyDeleteHubby read in the paper that coffee is now good for you again. (Depends on who is doing the research.) So you can have more than one cuppa. We live in WA now, and can't swing a cat without hitting some kind of coffee hut or another. We make instant at home.
ReplyDeleteSo tell your "reacher" they can have all they want.
Love your silliness.
Hugs
Oh My Gosh Paulette! You made me laugh so hard my hubby had to come and see if I was okay. Thank you for your silliness! I totally saw it as soon as you said it. Coffee!
ReplyDeleteJim just came over here. I told him, "This is one of the many reasons I love Paulette!" He read your post and had the same burst out laughing reaction that I did.
ReplyDeleteIf you're crazy silly then so am I - I totally saw two arms reaching out of that ground...
ReplyDeleteLove the notion that they are reaching for coffee. I will share with you that we have the opposite problem down under at the moment. Im getting cabin fever this weekend from back to back days of 110F.
I like your imagination.
ReplyDeleteHehehe. I like the way you think!
ReplyDeleteP.........you ALWAYS crack me up! LOL
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny!!! Thanks so much for a laugh. Yes, this winter can leave anytime now. Pretty when coffee is the highlight of our day.
