Favorite Things Friday - Belle Brigade

It's already Friday in Shay's part of the world, and that's good enough for me.  That means it's Favourite Things Friday!

I tell you what, most of the time it's easier for me to name a Not My Favorite Thing.  Like that pesky little fruit fly that keeps zipping through my field of vision as I type this.  Hey, Fly Dude, that banana peel is around the corner in the garbage can.  Go, knock yourself out.

Anyway, Favorite Thing.  Surprisingly, it wasn't these (recipe here).

But check out that evening sunlight.  Now that's scrumptious.

My Favorite Thing this week is the music of The Belle Brigade.  I found them while perusing Amazon's recommendations the other day.  Brother and sister duo with tight harmonies, thoughtful lyrics, and a sound that brings to mind the likes of Simon and Garfunkel, Lindsey Buckingham, and maybe Indigo Girls.

Here's an upbeat tune:

In this next one, they're doing an unplugged version of "Losers" in a bathtub (bathroom acoustics are the bomb).  The towel on Barb's head rocks its way off about halfway through, lightening the mood.

And finally, a live version of their song, "Rusted Wheel."

If you don't have time for a listen, that's just fine.  But tell me, who is one of your favorite musical artists?

Thanks for stopping by, and have a fabulous Friday!

For me, it's Christian music and oldies and your videos remind me of Fleetwood Mac a tad too;)

My favorite musician would be my husband; favorite music latin, classical, some jazz, old hymns, and whatever else sounds good. :-)

Awesome tunes. I listened to them all. You are a real music gal. I always find something to like in the selections you share.

I love Sting and Genesis /Phil Collins. I realise that means Im showing my age but there is something about 80's and 90's music that really takes me back. Mr. P is into alternative music and 60's . You can imagine what our house is like with all of those varied interests.

You always have the neatest music on your posts. I like this group.

I don't think I have one favorite. I like NickelBack and Katy Perry for work out music, Celtic music like classic Chieftens for thinking music and for fun Great Big Sea's Newfoundland folk music.
